Chamber Receives British Government and Party Delegation

Today, Sunday, 23/2/2025, Kamaran Salah Bajger and Maruf Aziz Khan Harki, Deputy Presidents of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with some members of the administrative council, received Karen Constantine, member of the Kent County Council in southern Britain, and her accompanying delegation consisting of members from both the Labour and Conservative parties.
After welcoming them, the guest delegation expressed their happiness about visiting Kurdistan Region and showed their satisfaction with the region's developments. They stated that Kent County in southern Britain is advanced in many sectors, particularly in technology and healthcare, and in this regard, they can assist Kurdistan Region.
The Chamber attendees briefed them about the activities of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and highlighted the Kurdistan Regional Government's strategic work and projects across all sectors. The Chamber representatives stated that relations between Britain and Kurdistan Region are at a very good level in all fields, and hoped that during their visit to Kurdistan Region, they would convey the work and investment opportunities, along with the peace and stability, to British traders and investors. Given Kent's advanced experience in healthcare and technology sectors, they wish to organize a visit by a business delegation with companies from these two sectors to Kurdistan Region in the near future and create work opportunities that would benefit both sides.
They also expressed hope that this delegation would help establish direct air routes between Kurdistan Region and Britain.
