Today, Thursday 20/2/2025, Maruf Azizkhan Harki, Deputy Chairman of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held an online meeting with a delegation from the Singapore Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting discussed establishing business relations between the Kurdistan Region and Singapore.
Maruf Azizkhan Harki, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber, informed the Singapore Chamber of Commerce delegation that the technology, agriculture, tourism, and industrial sectors in the Kurdistan Region need investment, expressing hope that companies and investors from that country would participate in investing in these sectors.
The Deputy Chairman also discussed the successful experience of that country, expressing hope that the Singapore Chamber of Commerce would help Kurdish traders and investors benefit from their experience.
During the meeting, the Deputy Chairman requested that a trade delegation with multi-sector companies visit Erbil city in the near future, and the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry will support and coordinate to organize a business meeting between traders and companies from both sides.
The meeting emphasized facilitating matters for traders from both sides and ways to establish and strengthen relations.
